· Chinua didn’t like what Nigeria had become after they had become independent.

· Chinua wrote the novel Things Fall Apart in 1958
· A car crash in 1990 left Chinua in a wheelchair for the rest of his life.
· Chinua helped found a literary magazine called Okike. It was a influential magazine at the time.
· Chinua used irony in his writing a lot to show tradition and speech.
· He wrote about things that bothered him through fictional stories.
